hey everyone,
I'm a current 7 Plus owner who is debating changing to the iPhone 7.

Was wondering what kind of battery life 7 owners are getting, as that will be a large factor in my decision.

Thanks

I saw some reports earlier on Twitter, you would get two hours less usage.

Roughly about two hours less.

Would you be interested in a trade? I have a 256GB iPhone 7 & I'd give cash.

I have a 7 and I'm getting about 6-6.5 hours of on screen time. I get a Plus tomorrow so I'm eager to see if I can get to 8 with it. My 6S would get me about 5.5-6

How you doing with battery on 7plus?
Well....so far it's insane. Approx 11.5 - 12 hours of usage at this rate.

Day 3 of my black 256gb 7 Plus, I put jeans on today for the first time in a few months and Houston we have a problem. I believe I have come to the conclusion that the 7+ with a case on it is just too large to comfortably carry in my front jean's pockets so with a heavy heart I am thinking about exchanging for a regular 7.

One of my biggest concerns is the battery life of the 7 versus 7 Plus. I've had nothing but AMAZING battery life with this plus over the past 3 days, and I've been using it heavy.
Anyone out there go from 7+ to 7 and can comment on the battery? Just trying to decide if its worth being uncomfortable with this plus for the great battery life or not.

I went into settings, location settings and turned on show gps symbol for system services.

By elimination, I found out "Frequent Location" kept GPS on the entire time especially when I'm moving. Car or bus. It would go off for 2 secs and then come back on again.

I would assume that this means GPS is constantly running the whole day that could explain 5hrs of usage

But instead of turning it off why does it keep running?!?

My fiancé has the setting on, I haven't enabled it to show in settings yet but her battery is excellent.

Using location isn't necessarily the same thing as using GPS. The iPhone is also aware of your approximate location (in a more power efficient way) based on what wifi networks and cellular masts it can see. I believe this is what Frequent Locations is using.
