Yesterday I noticed a bright white spot on my iPhone 7 plus screen. It looks sort of like a dead pixel, but instead of black, it's white and there is this sort of light aura around it. Has anyone had this issues as well? The phone has been in a case the whole time and has never been dropped. Don't know how this happened?

Cannot be sure without picture but it could be physical defect on the screen that allowing light to shine through it, had this problem with my 6 plus and exchanged it.

There was another forum member who experienced this. It's also known as a "White hot pixel." 4K TV's also experience this . It almost looks like a dried water spot. It can be caused by direct pressure to the display in a specific area or it was there from the manufacturer and you never noticed it, as it evolved over time. It's likely permanent unfortunately, but they can dissipate.

This happened to my 6S last year. Showed it to them instore and they replaced the screen as the phone was still in warranty!

Struck pixels can happen anytime. They are mostly "mapped out" at the factory but they can come and go with no fault to the user.

Anyway you can post an image?
It happen to my 7 plus as well
