I constantly get call failed when some people try to reach me.
I do have an Apple Watch series 2 and both the phone and the watch ring once and then I see call failed written on my watch and on my phone looks like a missed call.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Assuming the phone is not defective, failed calls are usually the result of a weak signal (connection) or interference - something blocking the signal like buildings, mountains, etc. If it's happening even in strong signal areas, your phone may be having problems. You might want Apple to check it out. Or, you can back it up and then reset with iTunes to see if that helps.

Also, you could remove the SIM card and re-insert, which may assist in the issue. (Be sure to disable wifi first and then power down.)

Resetting the network settings fixed it!

Thanks for the tip.

Good to hear. I was just curious which remedy actually resolved the issue, as I see these types of threads arise once in a while. Thanks for reporting back.

I haven't had a missed/failed call since then - I don't know why I wasn't thinking about doing this in the first place....

Anyway this is one of the first things probably everybody should try first.
After doing that the carrier signal strength improved and the 4G as well - I constantly had switching from 3G to 4G in short bursts of time which was quite annoying.

I guess there were a few issues solved by resetting the network settings.
