iPhone XS Max iPhone 7 Plus camera Vs XS Max

As this popped up on my time hop today and I was at the same location, I thought I'd recreate an image I took on my iPhone 7 Plus two years ago with the XS Max. Time of day was almost identical....

The grounding in the second pic looks more naturally lighted than the first picture. However I love the detail of the sky taken by the 7 Plus. There is no debating that the camera on the 8 Plus was amazing as well. The images I have taken with my Max are stunning. Another I like is the detail on the house in the background on the Max. The 7 Plus has then shadowed out.

I prefer the Max shot everywhere but the sky. But honestly they're too different to compare. You can control the time of day and day of the year. But you can't control the weather conditions. Given that one is completely overcast and the other isn't, I think they're different enough to not be an apples to apples comparison.

Yes I completely agree! The weather was much nicer 2 years ago.
