Yep, I'm doing a gate because this is the second 7 Plus with the exact same issue (first was AT&T GSM model, and second is Sprint GSM + CDMA model - both unlocked). Different factory builds, too, and from different stores.

The screen or body is clicking against something, and it's really easy to replicate. I have the clicking frequently (but not always) when pressing hard enough to enable 3D Touch on the lower areas of the screen (and no, this is not the haptic feedback). In a case, this is reduced somewhat, but it's still frustrating. As you can see, this is with just one finger. This is not huge amounts of pressure/holding it wrong.

Here's a demo with the screen off. It's really annoying, and loud in person. Turn your volume up!

This coupled with an even more yellow screen than my first unit, - I'm sitting out the iPhone 7 Plus year.

(As a sidenote, both my 7 Plus devices suffer from Hissgate, too, which only manifests itself in video, but still... just... this hasn't been Apple's finest launch, that's for sure).

Take it to Apple asp

Not doing the exchange game anymore. Two phones, with Yellowgate, Hissgate, and Clickgate.

The gate thing is idiotic, but... the struggle is real.

Can't Apple replace screen

I don't know that it's the screen, or some other component under the screen that the screen presses against. I don't want to deal with it, especially not along with Hissgate and the really crappy-tinged screens.

jeez mine has a slight click in the same location but def not as loud as yours but i just put a full screen protector on so it could be that

The screen protector may dull the sound, for sure. But hey, another confirmed case of clicking. :(

That's awful. Where are the icons! Where is the whole UI? The phone is supposed to look more like this...

Seriously though, Apple's use case for iPhone isn't to have you stare at a plain white screen. In normal use, it's all good. Your phone looks fine.

So we are waiting on three phones to come in, and I have to say that you guys are really freaking me out...

Your video is concerning in regards to the build quality of these new phones. It is pretty surprising really (and disappointing).

As for the screen color (Yellowgate) I don't know if I would know the difference.

Clickgate is my big worry (I would find it very annoying judging from the video), followed by Hissgate (though I am not sure if I would notice this one either). Oh my....

Have you tried it under a different kind of light I think the screen changes color depending on ambient light like the iPad Pro

Understand your pain, OP. I've seen 4 phones now, all with different degrees of yellow screens. Every store unit I have seen across two stores have them as well.

Personally I haven't had any hissgate phones, or maybe I just haven't used them enough to experience it. I do get the clicking/creaking, but not when pressing with a finger. Only when I slightly twist torsionally. But my 6s Plus does it as well.

This clicking issue has another thread already. I did an express exchange over this, and I got a new phone that does the same thing. I am waiting a few more months before exchanging again in hopes that it gets fixed with newer builds.

This was the same issue on the iPhone 6 too. I had 3 iphone 6 and they all eventually clicked in different spots. I think it was because of the phone slightly bending, enough for the screen to be a bit off center.

My 7+ is fine for now though...

My old iPhone 6 clicked in the lower right when I pressed the screen. The clicking started after I had struggled to remove a very tightly fitted case. Except for the two screws at the bottom of the screen, the screen is held in place by a friction fit which can allow some tiny movement between screen and frame. I assumed that the iPhone 7 wouldn't have this problem since there must be some waterproofing gasket between screen and frame which would create a better bond. Judging by these complaints, the problem still persists.

I know. I'm bummed. Never missed an iPhone since iPhone 1, and well... it's about to happen. I'll just "struggle" on with my 6s Plus for another year. I bet I can manage. :)

6s plus is a great phone, keeping mine till next september
