iPhone 7 Plus Follow-up Images Reignite Smart Connector Rumors

Following yesterday's circulation of iPhone 7 case images, NWE this morning posted another series of shots from the same "reliable" source, this time including what looks like the larger iPhone 7 Plus handset with dual-lens camera.

The additional iPhone 7 pictures offer a few more angles of a possibly fully assembled 4.7-inch device, without revealing anything particularly new, so we've reproduced them here merely for completion.

Readers will note that the power/standby button, volume controls and mute switch can be made out on the sides of the case, while the metallic Apple logo appears to have been fitted, but the images still leave us none the wiser as to whether this device has a headphone jack or not.

You should realize they are mock up, and most likely not uofficial, so don't expect 100% accuracy.
The mute switch is there on the bigger plus model but "forgot" on the smaller version

Something doesn't add up:

Both seem to be of the same size, yet one is 7, while the other one is 7 Plus. Then what is the smaller 7 called?

This leads me to believe there will be 7 Pro in the lineup as well, which this leak actually shows. We just don't know it yet, thinking that it's 7 Plus.

iPhone 7 Plus: 5.5 inches, single lens, regular connector
iPhone 7 Pro: 5.5 inches, dual lens, smart connector

I really hope Apple are throwing lots of false information out there -- then when they finally release it, each handset will have the same specifications and features, regardless of size, and doesn't make it confusing as Hell for the consumer.

There's nothing smart about those smart connectors. With wireless technology so readily available why on earth would we need something physically connecting to the iPhone. This makes completely no sense on the iPad Pro as well. Don't get me started on those antenna bands and protruding camera...
