my iPhone 6+ that I traded in for 7+ used to get warm when the surrounding temperature wasn’t cool enough (un-airconditioned area in Summer) and when it was being charged. But I don’t recall it being hot when using video or browsing the net, as long as the surrounding air was cool enough.

But iPhone 7 + seems to get hot starting at the camera area (top right) when browsing websites that has advertisements constantly playing in it, or when filming a video.

Did anyone notice this too?

It seems like a defect in the internal design, as it didn’t have a problem in 6 +.

This makes me want to return it and get the 6 plus back...

How would you know it's a defect in the internal design? Your 6+ is an entirely different phone four generations ago.

It is not a defect. It is normal.
Then I suppose normal iPhone 7s are made with that kind of defect compared to the past model? Since the past model didn't have that defect. It seems like the new CPU are too powerful, creating unnecessary heat in the process that older generations didn't?

You're creating your own scenarios that have nothing to do with the iPhone based on something that you formulated on your own opinion.

The right side is especially prone to heating right now as I’m charging it on a “mophie” brand external case-charger. Bottom and right side is uncomfortably hot.

Get that morphine case off of it so it can cool off.

I suspect you are charging and using you device with a mophie battery case at the same time. Just charging the battery case will make heat! You are creating your own problems.

You have started multiple threads about your devices getting hot and overheating!
