I'd have to say if you've got T-Mobile/AT&T, the 8+.

That's simply based on the fact that the 7/7+ are the first iterations with the Intel modem.

However the Qualcomm model (Verizon/Sprint) on the 7 (possibly 7+ too) has an issue with losing the signal so...

Just my opinion, I own a 7 Plus in jet black. I can't use it solidly as a smartphone. Dropped calls, no data, etc. So I'm using a V30 as my DD.

8+ is a good bit heavier in hand than the 7+, so you probably made the right decision. I got the 8+ over the 7+ because it was my first iPhone and I hadn’t read much into them. I never wireless charge, so the glass back is meaningless to me since it can’t be out of a case where I work.

Oh no, that’s a shame and I hope that it doesn’t put you off the iPhone, it really is a great device.

I’m in the UK, as stated in my first post and as per my location.

I like the weight and size of it, just saying how you stated the weight of the 7+ took some getting used to. The 8+ feels a good deal heavier. You really can’t go wrong with either. I’m thinking of buying my 10 year old a 7+ for her first phone. Might survive a few more drops with a metal back.

So that's Intel right?

I think.

Which means okay signal but not the best. However, it seems that just like with the USA the speeds and coverage vary by carrier right?

I saw that the choice was already made, so I just made a general statement to anyone reading.

Fair enough, my carrier provides me with a boost box at home so that i can use my Wi-fi to boost my signal. Not sure whether that’s available state side?

Other than at home I find the 4G network in the UK to be pretty damned good, yes coverage varies but I think that all carriers have done a good job.

Of course I must not forget that the US is a massive area to cover so if we have better coverage, that’s not surprising!

I tried a signal booster with my carrier and it made my calls really bad! Improved my data though. So it was a double edged sword.

Yeah, I travel into rural areas a lot. Thankfully T-Mobile has that band 71 they are rolling out.

I do hope they include a modem that can receive it on the next iPhone iteration.

I have it on my V30 already. Even without using it though, the Qualcomm modem in that device does fairly well out in the sticks.

I like iPhone but it's not so good for me when I'm traveling across Texas.

I really don’t understand much of what you have just said!

You are in the USA and I’m in the UK, they are both different, we in the UK have various tools to aid our phone usage, as do you.
Let’s leave it there and move on to the next thread. I’m surprised that the mods haven’t closed this for going off topic!
