Our company received our first 2 Verizon iPhone 7 Plus 32GB Black devices today. Definitively happy I didn't upgrade, I have a 6s Plus for myself right now. So far I have found 3 issues with both devices.
  1. Yellow pictures from camera
    • The screen does not have a yellow tint but the device takes yellow pictures under florescent lights. Of the first 3 shots with the first device I managed to get 1 without a yellow tint to the image. Possibly a software issue but who knows the second device had similar issues. My 6s takes the same photo like a champ.
  2. Physical screen clicking from device flex
    • So this one is weird because it seems like the display is not fully attached to the body of the phone. There is a slight flex to the device that causes the screen to click. Very easy to hear when holding the phone around 10-12 inches from head. This flex reminds me of what happened to my iPhone 6, yes I had a 6 and now a 6s Plus. It was clicking in the bottom right corner and it turned out the phone was actually bent. These two devices are fresh out of the box. Tried the same test with my 6s Plus and zero sounds, no clicking/flexing of any kind.
  3. Processor hiss while under load
    • Notice this on both devices. It's lower on my list of issues because you have to have the phone near your ear to hear it. Back of the phone has to be around 5-6 inches from ear to hear the electrical hiss from the processor. Not a huge issue but it is there. As long as it doesn't cause issues down the road it should be ok. Although I haven't taken any video with the phone but the microphones may pick up this electric hiss.
Overall I'm not impressed. The build quality of these devices seems sub par for Apple. The black looks better then the old space gray but that's where the fun stops. It just seems like Apple rushed these devices out the door as fast as possible and the quality, or lack there of, really shows on the 7 Plus. I should be getting a regular iPhone 7 soon and will have to try the same tests on that device.

Anyone else seeing similar issues?

Count me in as someone else with the screen clicking issue. I've seen a lot of posts all about it, it seems SUPER common.

Damn between this and the fact that my iPhone 6S seems to be ******** with each update maybe it's time to stop being such a fanboy.

Issues:
Not as bright (confirmed 18% less bright unless on auto)
Sound through headphones lacks bass (unknown if lightning issue)
Yellow screen (too warm)
Hissing sound
Quality of material on JB seems very plasticky, like a 5c
Animations run faster on 6 than 7

Maybe cheaper materials used since they are planning on selling less? That way they still make more money on cheaper materials.

I have a 7 Plus on order but am not even excited about it after all these issues and no real upgrades.

the screen making a clicky sound around the edges whenever I reposition the way I hold the body is definitely something I'm experiencing. it's very annoying. I hope it won't affect its resistance to water.

Get you a gold one or silver. The black ones are cursed. I heard Foxconn is starting to use robots to assemble quite a few of them.

Lol cry cry cry. Grow up men. It's a freaking phone. Bunch of school girls around here i'll tell ya what.

It's an $800 piece of hardware that shouldn't have these issues. I have a feeling Apple is going to have a bad run of these for the early adopters. Sad really.

I don't think Apple is anywhere near the issues an exploding samsung phone has. They are a hero tbh.

I have an issue with my 7 that has the bottom left of the screen with light bleed.

Based on what I've seen and read it does seem like Apple rushed these out a bit too quickly and some of the units are coming out with imperfections. If the units I have were actually mine I would send them back.
