Is it normal for the front (selfie) flash to change shades of white during the screen flash?

When my front screen is acting as the camera flash its not solid white its changes shades if that makes sense

Yes, it does the same thing as the flash on the back: changes tone depending on the surrounding light in order to make the lighting on your face look as natural as possible.

[doublepost=1537854271][/doublepost]okay so i have 7+ and the retina flash is white instead of like the tinted orangish yellow color and i’m super confused on why because everyone else’s front flash that has an iphone 7 is that yellow/orange tinted color

The color of the Retina Flash changes depending on many different factors such as the tone of your skin, the ambient light around you, etc. the Retina Flash won’t be the same color for everyone or every picture for that reason.
