Apple started selling the iPhone 7 Plus SIM-free on October 13th. This is the factory-unlocked model with the Qualcomm MDM9645M modem that supports both GSM and CDMA networks and can be activated with any carrier.

What color and capacity did you order? What delivery date range did you get? Has there been any progress on your order?

I ordered a Black 256GB 7 Plus on October 13th and got a November 14-21 estimated delivery date. Ten days later my order is still at the "being processed" stage. In contrast, the status of my September 9th pre-order took 7 days to change to "Preparing for shipment."

It appears that Apple is still focused on producing enough inventory to launch in more countries until November 4th.

Ordered mine on 10/17/16 for in-store pick up for the 7 Plus 256 GB Black Sim-Free Model.

Wow. Mid to end December. Almost feel like saying just wait for the iPhone 7s/8 whatever they're calling it

It's in there as I hunt for one locally at the stores. I found one yesterday, but a two hour each way drive to that store. Not worth that much craziness.

I ordered one about a week ago - but, one was available at local store- Unlocked 7+ 256 black- purchased at store and cancelled online order- installed existing ATT sim from old 6s and was up and running- I did have to reset the phone after restoring from backup (cable to iTunes) because Siri would not make a phone call- Genius at store said his phone did the same thing- running good now- coming from a 6s to the 7+ has been adjustment- i like the larger keys not so many mistakes- battery like better to which is nice- phone is marginally faster, not a mind blowing speed bump

Been watching istocknow.com. Found a SIM free JB 7+ 256GB at Apple Store Scottsdale. Picked it up a couple hours later.

istocknow.com also helped me score a Series 2 Apple Watch a couple weeks ago.

I haven't been able to find any in-store pick-up for a Black iPhone 7 Plus 256Gb Sim-Free on the West Coast since it released last week, and I've been checking constantly every day.

Configuration: 7+, Matte Black , 128Gb, SIM-free
Order date : October 13th, within minutes of SIM-free being available for order
Shipping estimate: 3-4 weeks , Delivered Nov. 11-18

Ordered my iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Silver SIM-free the day they were released (October 13th) and I received it Thursday.

Can anyone verify the model number for their SIM Free phone?

Is it really the same exact phone as the Verizon model? Or is it different (yet the same)?

It's A1660/A1661 (7/ 7Plus), which is the same exact model # for the Verizon/Sprint.

So the SIM Free has been available from day 1 by purchasing the device only Verizon phone?
[doublepost=1477346370][/doublepost]I'm starting to doubt these are the same - my Black Verizon 128 7+ is Model MN5T2LL/A

In my Apple Store cart, the SIM Free Black 128 7+ is Model MN482LL/A

I know the phone "act" the same for all intents and purposes, are these different model numbers just different SKUs of the exact same spec phone?

I don't think those are the Model number. The A1660/A1661 is the model number as Apple put it. I think those you provided is the SKU's (Part Number). The SKU (part number) for the Sim-free version can be found if you go to apple.com and add the device to the bag and review the bag.

I did this.

SIM Free SKU is MN482LL/A

Verizon SKU is MN5T2LL/A

Both 128 Black 7+

Can the same phone have two different SKUs?

Yes because ones a carrier phone and one is sim-free only difference is that Verizon model does come with the sim card and the sim-free comes without a sim.

Apple is going to have to classify them differently by the part number and they have always done this in the past as well. Just like last year even though the Sim-free model was AT&T 6S/6S Plus the part number was different.

My 7+ 256gb matte black is now "preparing for shipment".

Ordered on Oct 13
Estimated window was Nov 14 - 21
