My 7+ 256gb matte black is now "preparing for shipment".

Ordered on Oct 13
Estimated window was Nov 14 - 21

My October 13th order for a 256GB Black 7 Plus also changed to "Preparing for Shipment." Finally. It took twice as long as my September 9th pre-order. Let's see how many days it takes to be shipped.

Surprise! My order got a UPS Departure Scan from Zhengzhou on 10/28 at 5:10 PM. Zhengzhou is 12 hours ahead. It is scheduled to be delivered on 11/3.

I just saw a bunch of iPhone 7 Plus 256GB Black Sim-Free models popped up in the east coast for pick-up, but none in the west coast!

UPS is capable of amazing logistic feats but sometimes its tracking entries are incomprehensible. The 5:10 PM Departure Scan from Zhengzhou was followed by a 6:00 PM Arrival Scan in Zhengzhou. How could this be?

Yup. Saw the same. Maybe tonight update for west coast.

Just a question, but is there a reason the US gets unlocked phones available for purchase way late? In Canada it's an available option day 1.

I would speculate that it is because it is required by law. Why would Canadian carriers not want to have the same protection that Apple affords U.S. carriers during a month after release of a new iPhone?

I am curious as to why my new iPhone has been stuck in Zhengzhou since Friday. I doubt that a flight actually departed only to arrive at the same place 50 minutes later.

I got my mine 256 Matte Black at a local Apple Store. Canceled my online order immediately. :)

How did you find it? Istock or just checking Apple Store?
I just kept refreshing the Apple Store app on my phone. Before, istocknow was completely wrong on stock levels or sim free 7 Pluses but I'm not sure if they've fixed it since then. I just refreshed the page like crazy Saturday while watching YouTube lol

Thank you. I check the Apple Store app in tandem with iStocknow.com, but always check the former the most.

This Jetblack 256 sim free definitely looks like an unicorn to have. I found one two hours away, but cancelled it. Should have kept it and gotten it, rather than waiting till Dec for delivery.

I ordered mine from Best Buy on Thursday (10/27) and got it on Friday (10/28).

Jet Black 128GB 7 Plus.

Unlocked. All of their phones are if you pay full price.

I ordered a RG one on Tuesday and got it on Wednesday the very same way.

Just fyi.

I've seen that one here locally, but I wanted a 128. It does exist. Keep looking on istocknow.

Why not just set it up to deliver to your house? Do you have UPS MyChoice? (It's free, btw). Because from that, you should be able to direct UPS to hold your package at a local UPS pickup center instead of delivering it to your house.

Just a thought.

Just because im not in the us by the moment and in office anybody can sign for it

Perhaps you can get someone to go pick up your package for you? Or let them order it to come to their address?

Sounds like you're simply in another country where the phone has yet to launch. Not allowing these to be delivered to business addresses is actually one way Apple tries to combat scalping via mail order.

Question for the people that ordered on the 13th. Is your phone still showing up in ZhengZhou?
