iPhone 7 Plus sim tray

Hey all,

I was just wondering if the sim tray on the iPhone 7 Plus supposed to be flush with the body of the phone?

Mine is sticking out about as much as the power button.

All iPhone sim trays should be perfectly flush with the body of the device.

Maybe check there's nothing stuck in there.

I've never had an iPhone with a sim tray that was perfectly flush. They're usually recessed a little.

If it's actually sticking out as far as the power button, there might be something wrong.

Have you tried to push it in till it is flush. There is a new seal to keep water out and it could be it just needs to be seated.

That seems to have solved the issue, looks like the seal needed a slightly harder push, I'm probably still being too careful with it!

I'm surprised that the phone actually managed to detect the SIM card even when the tray wasn't fully inserted lol. Great that it is not an issue and you managed to push it in. I think it might just fall off if you have left it like that and without a case

It's weird it really wouldn't have fallen off, it was in pretty right and needed a bit of force, I think it's the thick seal on it that was holding it out a bit.

That doesn't sound right. To be protruding that far out, seems odd in the least.

Glad to hear you got it pushed in. The darn little seal sure make removing the SIM hard. It scared the heck out of me at the amount of pressure I had to put on my new 7+, but I do remember that there was some resistance right at the end when push the sim card holder to flush!
