iPhone 7 Plus won't charge

Hey guys,

So my new iPhone 7 Plus won't charge. And I can't figure out why. The wall outlet is working. The cable and charger are fine. (tried another iPhone 7 and the cords are Apple). I did get some water on the phone yesterday (over 24 hours ago) and it charged fine last night. (yes I did wait 5 hours). And I've already tried a hard reset.

any ideas? I'm on 10.1 beta 5.

EDIT: I should also mention the port still works for listening to music with the dongle.

Sounds like maybe the iPhone 7 is not as water resistant as Apple claims it is? Did you buy Apple Care +? If you did, take it to Apple and swap it out for a new one less any deductible.

Just curious, how wet?

Yeah of course. It was just splashed. No dunks or dives.

So I took it in last week before leaving town and there was no water damage at all. And oddly enough 24 hours after it wouldn't charge it started charging and has been fine since. But the guy at Apple said it was not a hardware issue but a software issue. The guy found some bug that had caused a shutdown. I don't see how those two things are connected. But that's what he said. So for now it's working. Thought I've heard from another friend having the same issue.

My iPhone 7 Plus stopped charging last week. I never got it wet, and I have been using an Apple charger with it. I tried rebooting the phone, multiple cables/chargers, etc. It will not sync with my Mac with the cable, either. I took it to the Apple Store and they could not get it to work, either. They said they've never seen the problem before. Apple is replacing the phone (should be delivered to my house today).
