Also, the article never really stated anything other than the current rumors cloating around. Like you alluded to: if the chassis is the same then it'll just be the 6S.It won't be the iPhone 7 though. It will be the 6s with the same physical hardware design. Apple isn't giving up their cash cow of being able to use the same chassis for two years.
I think the only reason why they went with "The New iPad" was so that it would not be that obvious that there was a new one when the "iPad with Retina Display" was released. iPad 3 and then iPad 4 would have gotten more people to realize that there was a new one out there.never knows ,, mr cook always changing name , remember >>

Catching up, in what way? Other than force touch what has the iPhone got that android hasn't?If this is true the competition will have some catching up to do. It's beginning to look more and more promising by the day. That's great, I'm ready to ditch my iPhone 5 right now and get the new one ASAP.
This article seems to imply there will be no iPhone 6S (6S Plus). Interesting, but not likely.
