So I'm planning on getting the iPhone 7 to upgrade my 6. I'm gonna preorder it, but I'm not sure how exactly the preorders work if you're using the Verizon payment plan. Do I have to preorder through Verizon? Or can I order using the Verizon monthly payments via Apple?
And if I have to order via Verizon, is this process similar to apple?

Also do you guys think Verizon will move upgrade dates for customers who are still on 2 year contracts to the beginning of the month so that more people can upgrade faster.

Verizon will most likely let you upgrade early my friend. My upgrade date is not until October by I was recently told by a Verizon rep that I would be allowed to upgrade early.

You can preorder directly through Apple or Verizon.
Last year I ordered mine directly through Apple's website and tracked it all the way from China until it reached my doorstep.

Well thats good my upgrade date is in september, since I bought my 6+ on launch day.
[doublepost=1470946290][/doublepost]I wonder how it's going to be for people who used Verizon Edge, now called Verizon device payment. ?

With Verizon Edge you had to trade in your current phone in order to upgrade every year. Very shady deal in my opinion.
I'd have been just signing 2 year contracts for the past five years. I also sell my iPhone every year and use the cash to purchase the latest and greatest iPhone.

That is what I'm talking about. Verizon device payment plan. I'm wondering if you can order from Apple using this plan or if it has to be from Verizon.

I would call Big Red and ask them directly if I were you.

Screw Verizon. I'm paying full price up front. Those bastards wouldn't even give me the carryover data unless I switched my plan. Yeah, like I'm going to pay $25 more per month for carryover..
