For the last six years, I've been Android but have decided to come back to iPhone.

I'm finding my iPhone 7 to be very buggy and wondered if this is normal? Some of the issues I've had:

- Camera sometimes not loading (it seems to try a couple of times and then settles on a blurry frozen shot)
- Screen not responding to taps for several seconds
- When trying out the different ring tones, the volume graphic will periodically appear, even though I've not touched the volume buttons
- "Sharing" a video to iMove just brings up a black screen
- Opening Pages brings up a dialogue box "Sign in required. You must be connected to wi-fi to download them." Sign in to what? Download what?! I just wanted to open Pages to write something.
- When the keyboard is open, I can't swipe up to bring up the menu with brightness etc.

There's other, but this is all I can remember. Is this normal? I've always been told Android is buggy, but I never had any real issues compared to this iPhone 7.

It happens from time to time. Try a Hard reset...hold down the sleep wake button and the volume down button. Screen will go blank, and eventually show an apple logo..release once you see the apple logo. If that doesn't work try restoring the phone and set up from new. If that doesn't work contact apple. My 7plus runs flawlessly.

Hard reset hasn't worked. I'm not going to set it up from new - I did that a few days ago for real!

Maybe it's just a case of returning it and buying another one.

The fact that the "Bokeh" feature wasn't complete, makes one wonder if half the team is working on something else. It is almost as the iPhone 7 was plan B.

Most of this is a non issue and typical for a new iOS. Apple will fix in updates.

I wouldn't say these are non-issues

Seems like the phone is not working as the OP wants it too. I'd be very frustrated if I couldn't use the camera, pages, keyboard issues. I'm not saying its hardware but I am saying that these can be considered significant issues

I'd say that's your best bet. Not experiencing any of these issues with my 6S on iOS 10 and if you just set it up from new a few days ago then there's not much that resetting is going to do. First batch of new tech always has a few niggles, just be glad it doesn't set on fire!

On iPhone 6s apps will randomly freeze and especially the phone app. A lot of failed calls as well where the other end won't hear me. The new way to stop the alarm ringtone is buggy as hell too. For the moment being iOS 10 is noticeably buggy.

Everything I've read on here is people lambasting Android for being buggy (which, in my experience, wasn't at all) and, now I have an iPhone, I'm reading that it's the iPhone that's buggy.

So much for Apple controlling the hardware and software blah blah blah.

So the pages thing is a fault? I don't see what I'm supposed to do to use Pages. My only option is to "Cancel".

I think the keyboard disables control centre while it’s on screen. Not a bug, but by design.
