It will restore it pretty much to a 100% ready-to-go state. Passwords may not be restored, though I'm not sure, to be honest.

I would suggest doing an iCloud back up and this will restore everything such as your app data. You may just need to resync your music and such and should be good to go. Whenever I do a back up and restore from iTunes, it doesn't seem to keep my passwords to my applications but iCloud back ups do.

Yes, everything should be restored as normal.

Just my opinion: My suggestion is to not restore from back up. It can transfer over glitches or problems that can plague your Plus. I personally would set up as a new device.

Thanks. I used to do that with Android but it can take a few hours

iOS, to my knowledge, doesn't have an 'auto-restore apps from the store' function like Android does. I never restored my Android devices in the 8-9 years I used Android. A "fresh" start was always nice but if I wanted, Android would automatically download all of the apps I had installed at the time that I wiped it.

Hi all. Got the 7+ and set it up as a new phone. I must admit I'm a little underwhelmed by the phone but probably not using it to its full extent yet. I also seem to have done some clearance on apps I had installed and never used. Thanks for the advice.

What did you expect? The 7 and 7 Plus are nearly identical.

I don't know. A significant size difference which there isn't really, more screen space, better camera.

I'll get used to it though. Still selling the 7 at the weekend
