I was setting up my new phone in the store doing the restore when some ridiculous robocall came through abut trying to sell my solar...after that, the phone would not restore from my back up. I then just started over and set up as new phone and now it won't access the iTunes Store to download apps. I left the store once the phone activated. My Apple ID is in the phone correctly. What could I be doing wrong? I closed the app and restarted the phone. When I get back to my computer I can do a restore I guess?

Seems like a reasonable explanation. I have been trying for about 2 hours but I'll keep trying a little longer.

Yep iTunes and App Store is apparently down for many people. Trying to connect to tie my new iPhone 7 to my iTunes account fails, trying to log into the account on the computer fails. Been trying for about 90 minutes so far with no luck.

Lots of reports from all over the world on twitter @AppleSupport ... Apple denies there is a problem still but they are likely being overloaded. Who knows how long it'll last.

I think I finally got it working. I even went back and am my using my iCloud back up. It has downloaded so far! I wanted to get my text conversations and since I just started my previous phone over clean...I'll hope my back up isn't buggy.
