Iphone 7 not Plus...

Battery life unchanged.
Performance unchanged.

The Plus is pushing more pixels so might be different.

I only upgraded because I wanted to buy a S3 AW. I haven't regretted updating the phone.

While I realize it's a generation behind the phone you are asking about... there is no chance in hell I would upgrade my 6s from 10.3.3 to iOS 11 at this time.

I've just seen too many posts that iOS 11 decreases the battery life for all phones besides the three (8, 8+, and X) that it was designed for.

Less battery overall, and it takes an extra 4-6 seconds to boot up.

I wasn't affected much until one of the intermediate updates after ios11, what seemed like a harmless update for certain features on the X absolutely destroyed my battery for a couple of days.

Overnight drain became 20-25% when it would normally be 1 or 2%.

It's back to normal or very close to it now, and I'm weary of any updating now.

You will mostly get negative comments here on MacRumors about iOS 11 because disappointed users often make more noise than satisfied ones.

My advice is to go an Apple Store (or any other store for that matter) and play with a 7 Plus running iOS 11 so you can make your own opinion about whether or not performance is degraded compared to iOS 10.

People with bad battery has it been bad on all builds of iOS 11 or have some been better than others?

Historically it’s a hot potato game to get a version with decent battery. Even a .1 update can throw it off. But I do hear (and can observe increased battery hunger) iOS 11 is that way anyways

I’ve got 4% left and 7h12 SOT on my 7+ with a mid 80 percent capacity battery after over a year.

Is that good? Relatively speaking 11.1.2

I don’t feel like 7+ ever had the most
Amazing battery coming from 6s+ on iOS 9 the year prior but idk

I really haven't seen any change on my iPhone 7. When I had 11.0.0 and 11.0.1 on my iPads, they didn't get worse battery life either, though I switched back to 10.3.3 because I thought the screen animations became laggy. I realize that a lot of people have had different experiences.

I haven't noticed any changes across the 11 versions.
