Panic over nothing. I've been using rear fingerprint scanners (Nexus, pixel, s8) for awhile now and have learned to not mind it. It's not ideal but it is a non issue to me.

touch ID doesn't bother me one bit, I know its not the most gorgeous or innovated way of putting it on a phone, but I've used a Nexus 6P for about 2 months and to be honest, I loved the fingerprint sensor on the back, if it happens for the 8, it will not be a dealbreaker for me one bit.

While I do agree with this, but for me I always have my phone on the table screen facing down. So for me it, would make sense, as I can place my finger on the touch ID while I pick up the device and have the screen face toward me and unlock itself. No need to push a button as I have the raise to wake feature.

They need a hologram Steve yelling at us that we're using it wrong.

You can learn to not mind getting kicked in the balls too.

My suspicion, if this design isn't just completely fake, is that this could be a cheaper LCD model to accompany the OLED iPhone 8.

Very well could be the case.

Make the 7s and 7s Plus look similar from the front to the 8, thus with no home button, moving it to the back.

Goodness knows Ive and the hundreds of brand designers and industrial designers at Apple would prefer not to have their phone line up for 2018 look different, outside of the orphaned SE.

Plus, it sets users up for when the physical button is gone once and for all next year.
Question remains how Touch ID will work on the 8 to the same degree of security as currently...unless the sensor on the power button rumor holds water.
