I’ve gone through a couple of cheapish Amazon screen protectors for my iPhone 8 - JETech and Orzly. They were both edge to edge ones with built in black bezel around the edges so they can cover and protect more of the front.

In both cases, the window for the screen wasn’t as wide as the actual screen. Meaning they obscured the sides of the screen. This wasn’t just cos I didn’t apply them correctly- the alignment looked pretty good and they were obscuring the screen by equal amounts on both sides.

Now, the amount I’m talking about is quite small but I couldn’t help notice it. For example, I could still see all the cellular bars in the top left, but the gap between the edge of the screen and the smallest bar was cut in half by the protector. It made things feel a bit cramped. It was almost ok enough I could live with it but I decided I wanted the best experience for my new phone!

I would like to find a similar protector which doesn’t have this issue but I fear they’re all manufactured in the same factory and rebranded in various ways.

What are people’s experiences here? And please, if you think yours is ok, double check by looking at your screen from an angle. If you can see more screen when you do this you may realise you have the same problem.

Anyone used an iPhone 8 edge to edge screen protector and have any comments? Thanks.

Having just purchased two iPhone 8s, I would also like to know. Hopefully someone will respond.

I found that ESR’s full screen protector had the best fit in the end. The applicator is good too :)
