And the antenna lines. There’s only so many ways to design a rounded rec. People complain that Apple is about form over function yet whine when a design doesn’t drastically change.

I really do like the creaminess of the gold color, and even the silver/white.

I'd buy the 8+ over the X if Apple shrunk the top bezel. I know it won't happen, but that would have been an instant buy for me.
