You can by privacy lens covers such as these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07C1VT9WH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_EVkQBbJPZ21BP

This would work on an iPhone’s front camera because that camera is flat.

Just wondering if anyone is aware of a product like this sold specifically for the back camera on iPhones. The hole would need to be the right diameter and depth to accommodate the protruding lens.

I’ve had no luck finding such a product but wondered if anyone else had.

Hmm, I’d prefer if people just answered the question or ignored it.

Not willing to get derailed but let me make it clear that I don’t believe anyone is actively spying on me, or that aliens are trying to abduct me.

It’s just a peace of mind precaution based on the fact that it’s possible for apps to use the camera at times I would not expect it to. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/apr/06/phone-camera-microphone-spying

Not coming back to debate it btw.

All jokes aside: I don't give social media apps access to the camera nor microphone. I take a pic with the camera app and then share it when I want to. Also none of the social media apps get to run on the background.
