Anyone else getting aboard the iPhone 8 train? I'm surprised no one is talking about the price drop and new 128GB capacity after the announcement. ($449 for the 64GB and $499 for 128GB)

Upgrading from an SE. I waited long enough for the rumored SE2, but I cannot wait until 2020.

I am looking for a pocketable phone that isn't overpriced or outdated. The 6.1" XR and 11 are too big for my liking, and the 5.8" XS and 11 Pro break my bank. (Especially if I need more than 64GB of storage.)

iPhone 8 is a no brainer. It's still a pretty solid phone in 2019, right?

I’m surprised nobody else is talking about this too actually. I spent much of last year considering my own next move from the SE and would have seriously considered the 8, but for the fact that it was only available in 64Gb, half the storage of my existing SE and simply not enough.

In the end I went for an XR and have no regrets at all, but the larger 8 could be a nice option now for a lot of people in the same boat.

I really wish Apple would stop being so greedy over storage tiers generally - 128gb should be standard across the board now, especially for the pros where it’s still not even an option..

Upgraded my wife to a 8+ last fall, she wanted no part of an iPhone without a home button, go figure. The 8 series phones are an outstanding example of that form factor and yes, it's a solid phone in 2019!

I'll be upgrading FROM an 8 to the 11 Pro, mostly for the camera, but I had a very good two years with my 8. I was extremely happy with it during that time!!!

(I'll be giving it to my nephew who is on my old 6, so it'll still go to good use for a while!)
