hey everyone,

This year will be the first time upgrading to a new iPhone using the Next program, this month I'll be on my 12 installment allowing me to upgrade to the newest iPhone as long as I trade in my current one.

Will I be able to upgrade to the newest iPhone using the Apple website? Or am I required to upgrade using AT&T website since I'm doing an early upgrade? I'm just not sure how it would work. I prefer buying the phone directly from Apple if possible.

Thanks.

I do not think that is necessarily true. I know you can use Apples website or AT&Ts website. I used Apples website last year and got my 7+ through the AT&T Next program. When you type in your credentials for AT&T (phone number etc..) on Apples site it pulls up your account and asks if you want to buy it outright, buy with iPhone Upgrade Program, or with AT&T Next. Now if you are on some special account with AT&T or something you might want to check. However, if you are just on a normal line, using Apples website should be no issue.

Now, what I do is call AT&T and make sure that EVERYTHING on my account is how it is supposed to be, then you have no bad surprises when you go to upgrade.

Also a little tip, it is common belief around here that using the iOS Apple Store App is the fastest way to get your order through and get a good ship date. Good luck!

I got my iP7+ on AT&T next in the Apple Store...they told me in 12 months I can come back to the Apple Store and do the same thing.
