I just love the new 8 (& 8+) !!! It reminds me of the most beautiful iPhone ever made (iPhone 4).
The glass back is absolutely beautiful.

It’s by far the best of the gold bunch so far. The 6/7 gold is a little too tacky at times, depending on the lighting and the rose gold is way too girly for a guy (great for women though, my wife just got a rose gold Macbook just to ensure that I don’t take it over lol). The 8/8+ gold looks gorgeous and classy. I would say that it does look a bit feminine, but not so feminine that a guy can’t use it. Not every guy has to be 100% testosterone 100% of the time. Unfortunately, I find white bezels distracting, otherwise gold would have been my pick without a doubt.

I never saw any photos of the gold or rose gold iPhones that had done how good they looked in person any justice. I imagine its quite the same for these as well.

Anxiously awaiting my 8+ gold this Friday. I really went back and forth on gold or space gray. I have always had the black/darker colors, but was looking for something different this time. I have never been a fan of the white front but am giving it a chance for this round.

As long as Apple stupidly decides to make only one color with a black front, that is what I will get. Would love a different color back and black face. The white front is hideous to me.

I'd be all over this if it had black bezels on the front, but every white-bezel iPhone and iPad I've owned has lost its lustre with me after about 6-7 months. Aside from being a bit distracting when watching videos and viewing pictures (to me), I just feel it starts to look "tired." The black bezels, on the other hand, do not have that effect on me. I got the 7 Plus in Matte Black and have loved it all year.

Consequently, I went with the Space Gray 8 Plus this year. It's a shame because this new gold color looks fantastic.

Yaaaaaaay! I was hoping that was the case. The video above makes it look almost brown (yuck), and I was really hoping for a creamy-pinky color.

I was actually hoping rose gold would been offered this year for the iPhone X. But understandably, some colors are not for others. But I agree with your sentiments and every color iPhone will apply to everybody differently. Because we are all different.

Purple is girly now? Didn’t know. Don’t care. If they made a deep purple iPhone with black bezels... wow... I’d be all over that.

It does matter to some people. Doesn’t matter to me personally, but that’s just how I feel. Maybe 20 years ago it would have mattered, but not today. That doesn’t mean I can’t look at a color and say to myself “that looks feminine” or “that looks masculine”. It just means that I don’t judge people on what color, looks or style they go with.
