Since having my iPhone 8 Plus (upgraded from the iPhone 7 which never experienced this), I have experienced the following so not sure if this is a feature or a bug:

Every time I turn my phone on, it seems that the bluetooth is already turned on? This is despite me turning Bluetooth off the previous night. Its happening every time I turn the phone on?!

Is this a feature or a bug (are other people seeing this on iOS 11, with or without an iPhone 8)?

Same situation, I always turn my BT off to save some extra battery and it seems to always switch on at some point. I'm currently having issues connecting it to anything though! >_<

I've heard that while the iphone 8 has bluetooth 5.0, the feature to be able to have 2 devices connected at the same time output isn't enabled. Can someone test this? BT 5.0 is supposed to allow per say 2 bluetooth speakers to play from the same source (iphone).

....that feature isn't specific to the iPhone 8.

When I had my iPhone 7, it would daily connect to 2 BT items at the same time - I would have my Apple Watch connected and at the same time, when I would get into my car, my car's internal hands free kit would also connect to the phone.

It still does this on the iPhone 8.

I've got a fitbit Charge 2 which is continually connected but at various times it will also be connected to my car bluetooth or bluetooth earphones and i've not noticed any issues. This is working exactly the same as it did prior to iOS11.

With regard to turning Bluetooth off then if you dont have any Bluetooth devices then yes its probably worth turning off but if you have them and use them the power drain from Bluetooth isnt worth the messing about turning it off and on all the time.

By the way....i've just turned Bluetooth off, turned the phone off then back on and Bluetooth was still off.

I get about 45 seconds of stuttering playback when my 8 Plus first makes a connection to the Bluetooth audio receiver in my car. :(
Exact same thing happened to me yesterday. Thought it was high-quality steaming so lowered quality. No change. Song kept stopping but controls on phone & car appeared as if song was playing.
[doublepost=1506423525][/doublepost]FWIW, came from 6S+ on iOS 11 and this never happened.

This is not a bug. I briefly skimmed the replies in here and don't believe I saw anyone mention this, but it is well known that with iOS 11 if you toggle BT or Wifi off via Control Center, it just disconnects you from that BT device or Wifi but does not turn the radios off. In order to stop your issue from happening, go into the actual Settings app and turn the radios off. Now restart your phone. I bet it won't reconnect ;) cheers!

You are right, it was reported here last week...
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Aren't Fully Disabled When Toggled Off in Control Center on iOS 11

I meant you can play to 2 different bt devices simultaneously. Like the video illustrates. So for example if you're watching a video you and your wife and listen at the same time wearing 2 different bt headphones.

Samsung calls it dual audio

In my case it was a brand new BT connection to my car. My car is weird as it does Phone & Audio separate but ‘works’ them out once synced. Old 2011 Lexus. I will turn off and do soft reset and see how connections go today.

I have my iPhone 8 plus paired to a pair of bluetooth headphones and my bluetooth switches itself off every time I turn off my headphones.
