since the sim free works with any carrier (verizon and sprint included), i’d say it’s a1864.

what’s the difference between a1864 and a1863? is one the black model and the other the white?

not sure - my verizon white 64 gb 8 is A1863. guessing one is plus and one is non-plus model?

I picked up both a gold and a silver 64GB 8 Plus, SIM-free today and they are both A1864, so color is not the differentiator
