I've googled this and can't seem to find anything recent about this (iPhone 8, 8 Plus, iOS 11) my 8 Plus is muting my text messaging notification sounds. I can't exactly make it happen, but once it starts I have to reboot the phone to make it play text message notification sounds again. All other sounds play normally from what I can tell. Once it starts, in the text tone settings I can press different tones and all I get is the vibrating. A reboot fixes it until it starts again.
The mute switch is not toggled, DND is not on, and volume is cranked. What else can I try?
