Hello,

I've been holding onto my iPhone 8 Plus since 2017 (normally upgraded annually). I'd like to finally upgrade to the iPhone 11, is the camera the same/better minus the loss of the telephoto? Honestly, if to use the telephoto I had to click the circle to go from 1X to 2X to use telephoto, I never did that so didn't use it anyway. Overall liked the quality of the photos however.

Did anyone go from 8 Plus to XR? I'm also worried about how noticeable the tiny decrease in screen width will be.

Not interested in the $1000+ price points anymore, I think I'd be happy with the iPhone 11 which has almost all the features of the Pro and what is appears to be an upgrade from the 8 Plus? Sure wish it had OLED though, but not like I have it now anyway.

If you don't use telephoto, the 11 camera is a significant upgrade from the 8+. Even the XR camera is an upgrade from the 8+ when you exclude telephoto.

I'm using an iPhone 8 now. Would you say it's a significant jump in camera from the iPhone 8 to 11? Not so much zoom but in terms of picture quality. The camera is the only reason I'm even considering a new phone at this point.

I guess my only remaining concern. I know the resolution of the XR, and iPhone 11 is lower than the 8 plus. Is this something that will actually be noticeable or bothersome to me when switching? Couldn’t really find any experiences on that.
