iPhone 8 plus vs iPhone X

I’m 50/50 and can’t order till I decide. I’m stuck in obsessive indecisiveness. I currently have a first gen iPad Pro 12.9 and a iPhone 6s plus. I generally alternate upgrading one of them each year. Since the 2nd gen ipad offers little reason to upgrade I will be upgrading the phone this time. Main draw for me is 4k at 60fps which both have.

IPHONE 8 PLUS CONS
- very heavy. hard to run with. Heavier than current iphone 6 plus.
- old tech. Apple will be moving to face id on all devices eventually.
- fingerprint scanner does not work with my always working out sweaty thumbs. frustrating.

IPHONE 8 PLUS PROS
- 16x9 demensions
- cheaper
- same fingerprint scanner continuity of my ipad

IPHONE X CONS
- ugly notch. I gaurentee they will remove the notch the next iteration.
- 19x9 demensions so everything croppped. Basically same usable area as 4.7 inch iphone 8.

IPHONE X PROS
- lighter than 8 plus
- face id
- I prefer to have the best. Just not sold it is the flagship. Next iteration will be.

You will be able to pick up a 8 plus for pretty cheap from the people who bought it and are now looking to buy the X or just bought 8 plus or 8 as a placeholder.

I would personally go with that, I don't think iPhone X is worth the 300-350 premium over a slightly used 8 plus.
