So this photo emerged today on a Chinese forum that purports to show a box packed with iPhone 8 cases with the rear facing up and what may be a Touch ID sensor below the Apple logo. Here's the writeup about the photo from Nextpowerup and techradar as well as a link to the thread on the Chinese language forum where it appeared first:

I don't believe it. And Touch ID has an unlikely probability being on the back of the iPhone. There have been past photos in the last few months showing Touch ID on the back, which seemingly have not been surfacing due to facial recognition likely being the replacement.

These are definitely not iPhone 8 cases, we've seen these chinese clones which looked exactly like that way back then

If all the leaks are leading to no fingerprint sensor under the glass on the front, I could see apple placing the sensor on the back in conjunction with a new facial recognition scanner. Can't see them ditching touch Id on the new iphone.

Fake. We already know Apple is going full force on Face ID. Leaked firmware also never showed anything for Touch ID behind the phone.

Will find out in a month. Either many people will spend their $ on a TouchID/FaceID iPhone 8, tons of people will spend their $ on a FaceID iPhone 8, or people will spend their $ on an iPhone 7S/7S+. Those are the options if they want a 2017 iPhone. If not, go spend $ elsewhere with Android and deal with what experience suits you.
