iPhone 8/Plus iphone 8 screen flickering

not sure when this started but the screen flickers from light to dark, it will be full light but it will go slightly darker, and then sometime later it goes brighter again.
Is this happening to anyone else?

Sounds like either your ambient light sensor is faulty or your screen connection isn’t secure, remove the front glass and check all the connections or get Apple to look if your not comfortable doing it yourself. There’s plenty of guides on YouTube.

i'm def not able to do it myself. would apple look at it even though its out of warranty?
