Even if the 8/8+ launch seems lackluster by Apple standards, it's probably still outselling any other phone on the market. Then, in 6 weeks, another big iPhone launch. A lot of people online think like fanboys, where everything Apple does has to be the biggest and best to be considered a success. In a boxing match, not every punch you throw has to be a haymaker. It's good to land jabs too.

I have to ask, what are you considering upgrading to? I know you have been debating for a while.

I think the sales for the iPhone X are pretty clear based on lack of demand for the 8 and 8+
Phones are not made solely for their launch day sales. They’re made for the sales they can sustain across their lifespan. Anybody with half a brain should be able to work out that, in the long run, the majority of the phone buying public ain’t gonna be buying the X. It’s far too expensive for the majority of consumers who have iPhones. That’s where the iPhone 8’s demand is - stored up ready to spread across the next year and beyond.

Absolute rubbish. There's been talk as far back as March 2016 (probably earlier) of Apple working on an OLED model with no home button & slim bezels to be released in 2017.

Mobile phone launches are planned wayyyyyy in advance. You're suggesting they'd announce the X and then wait a week or so to decide how many they're going to make based on public opinion? lmao

I'd prefer to think that it's a rushed product than think they took their time designing it and the 10 was the best that they could come up with.

Think what you like. It's absurd to think they knocked it up in a short space of time and are only mass producing it based on what people think since the keynote. Do you have any idea how much work is involved in releasing a product?

It's common knowledge that only Samsung were capable of making enouhh screens for the X and can't just order as many as they want and have them all ready to go, no matter how long they planned the product for. Especially with it being a more unique design with the notch and hard to manufacture.
