my sisters iPhone 8 Plus has bad battery life and it has maximum 93% it’s on 11.4 what should we do? Call Apple?

Pay for the battery replacement service from Apple.
You either didn't read his post, or your comprehension is lacking.

OP, take the phone to Apple and they will sort it out, for free, as it is still under warranty.

Apple’s threshold is 80% for warranty replacement.

Not just “my battery is terrible, gimme a new one.”

I was thinking that. Plus it’s completely unacceptable to be expected to pay additionally to keep a young phone working. I bet Apple are loving all these people who are buying new batteries each time they cripple battery life with an iOS update lol.

Most of the time, poor battery life is due to apps. iPhone 8 also has a smaller Whr battery compared to iPhone 7. Apple added True Tone on iPhone 8 which didn’t help battery life either.

11.4 had many reports of battery drain issues. You should update to 11.4.1 which resolved my problem.

This is the first I’ve heard is True Tone hurting battery life.

Contact Apple and start troubleshooting with them. This might easily come down to how the device is being used - or might be a faulty battery. More investigation is required.
Best success!

My 8 is the same. I hate this phone. The battery is horrible. I can literally use twitter for 20 mins and it goes down 30-40 percent.

That surely sounds bad - but the OP has a different phone and the issue might be different as well. In your case, have you updated to the latest iOS version and did Apple already take a look at your phone?

Hope you get it sorted!

MOST people who have “bad batteries” don’t really have a faulty battery. Their usage or signal strength is nearly always the culprit. They see people who are light users and get great battery life, then wonder why they can’t get the same. It’s down to your usage and signal strength most of the time. Go to Apple if you like, but it’s usually your “fault”.

Not true in this case . Something is randomly wrong with iOS 11.4 and 11.4.1. There’s 44 pages of people having issues https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8409995

I was having the same issues described by many others with a 6s only 3 or 4 months old. Went to the Genius Bar and they didn’t fix it. I restored to new iPhone status with iTunes and deleted all the apps I could and sat it on a shelf in airplane mode. Battery with 96% health dies in 4 hours sitting on the shelf. 11.4.1 fixed it on mine but many others aren’t so lucky. Based on what I’ve read luck is your only hope if having this issue.

^this. Especially the signal strength.

I was on Three network in the UK and at both home and work had variable signal strength that was constantly dropping 4G and picking up 3G. My battery life was terrible - sometimes down to 25% by 5pm. Changed to EE and now have strong 4G signal pretty much anywhere and some days can get to bed time and still be over 75% with moderate usage.

Now and then I do notice a sudden drop and I can nearly always pinpoint what caused it by looking at the battery usage data in the settings menu.
