Well the thing is that, i had someone buy an iPhone 4 from me while on his way back from Austria a year back from eBay and was using it happily with Gevey. But i accidently upgraded the base band while messing around with iTunes.

Now that i've a locked iPhone i tried searching forums of A1, and I've come to know that they charge 150 £ for first year and 100 £ in second year and 50 £ after third year. And if you don't have the bill, they will charge you 150 £ straightaway.

But the thing is that the unlocking site officialiphoneunlock.co.uk mentions in their website that they provide the unlocking service for iPhone 4 locked to A1 Austria for 19.99£

I just wanted to confirm the integrity of the site officialiphoneunlock.co.uk and if anyone has unlocked their iPhone locked to A1 Austria using the site?

    Thanks in advance.

    DON'T use that website!

First, if they charge you 20£, it's likely to be a PRE-ORDER for something that IS NOT AVAILABLE YET, and that might NEVER be available. Read carefully, otherwise you'll pay for nothing.

Second, I tried to unlock my phone with these guys, paid 80£, the unlock failed, they promised to refund my money within 4 days, and after a month of waiting, I had to claim to my bank. Of course, I tried to contact them several times before going to my bank and claiming the chargeback.

When they notice a chargeback was ordered, they threatened me. Yes, you read properly, they THREATENED me, by email. I'm keeping the emails as proofs, because I reported them to action fraud of the UK police.

So be careful with these guys. I'm sure they take some (and maybe most) of the orders successfully, but they won't feel any remorse keeping your money if they can't unlock your phone (or maybe if they're feeling lazy, who knows).

    Hope I was helpful.
