iPhone Activations Halted for the weekend

Has anyone else come across this? I purchased an iPhone and went to activate it over the weekend to find out from an AT&T rep that they are upgrading their user accounts on the "West Coast" and that I won't be able to activate the phone until Monday.

Is anyone else come across this? I find it hard to believe that all the customers on the West coast buying iPhones are being told 'thanks for your money but you'll have to wait until Monday to activate.'

Sounds crazy to me.

Sounds like att and their usual inept ways. Bet that must make Apple reps angry.

i bought and activated mine yesterday afternoon.

I know one time i had to restore my iphone to factory settings and i had to wait untill the next day to reactivate it. When i plugged my iphone in, the iphone page in itunes said that at&t was doing "routine maintenance" it was very hard to sleep that night! Haha

Just call them and activate it over the phone.
