My wife uses her iPhone very often to watch video. She does this at home too, but away from home it's kind of hard to do that on an iPad or TV you don't happen to be carrying with you.

Not long movies or anything like that, but say YouTube videos, etc.

sure depends on everyone's needs, i dont watch youtube much, dont wanna get caught in endless watching haha and when im away i try to find other stuff to do, too many screens in my life. Air fits my needs perfectly plus i think it looks good
 
It doesn't matter what phone I have, I always carry an Anker power brick with me anyway. So I may as well get the lighter thinner phone.
