Hello IPHONE Users,
I just visited the ATT store to purchase an IPHONE but hesitated until I could investigate if the Safari Web Browser on the Iphone can launch the videos which are on the www.cnbc.com website.

Has anyone been able to do this?

I really appreciate any comments!!

It can't. Hell, I can't even get the freaking videos to play in Firefox.

What a broken website.

EDIT: Apparently it's an IE-only site. What a load of garbage this site is. Works fine in IE, uses flash but in a sub-standard way. Makes Safari crash, just doesn't work in Firefox.

Peace

CNBC.com uses the windows media player for it's video content.I don't believe the current version of Safari on the iPhone supports Flip4Mac.

It might in the future.

Worked fine for my version of Safari.
Make sure you have the latest Flip4Mac installed.

Thanks for trying!!

That is consistent with the demo at the ATT Store. I still love the phone and the rollover minutes. As a Verizon customer, rollover minutes is unheard of!!!!

msnbc

NBC has an exclusive partnership with Microsoft (MSNBC). Don't be surprised to find that theirs stuff is Microsoft or IE or WMA only. What a crutch, that partnership is.

Also, the first article to come out about a broken iPhone just happened to come from.... you guessed it, MSNBC. And remember when the Zune came out, and they compared it side by side in a review to a 3g black and white screen iPod? Of course the 3g iPod looks worse than a Zune.

****ing NBC.

Once the iPhone gets Flash, it will be interesting to see the compatibility with sites like this. (MSN sites....)

BTW - Does anyone know what kind of market share the Zune has? It's got to be tiny....
