iPhone and iPad Wifi/notification/freezing issues

So I'm having these issues with both my iPad and iPhone. One being the minor issue of having to toggle on and off wifi because, at times, because nothing loads, and that seems to deal with it.

There will sometimes be an issue where they freeze after I unlock the screen, and it seems to do it when I've got a number of notifications, the most common occurrence being whenever I get the reminder for night time meds.

I've talked to both Apple and Midco. The conversation with Apple, well, we couldn't figure it out, but thought it it may be network related. The Midco representative said it might be because I live in an apartment, that might be an issue, in relation to other wifi networks using the same channel. Though that doesn't seem to effect my other devices that are connected to wifi and I've tried a different router to see if that might help but no, it didn't.

My iPhone is a 6s Plus and my iPad is a 12.9" and they've both had to be replaced recently and the wifi issues were there with the old devices as well. Anybody have an idea, because on one hand, I could say it's an issue with my internet, on the other, how the hell does it only seem to affect only seem those two devices?

You can rule out the app (or not) by troubleshooting.

What happens if you delete the app? Does the problem still occur with notifications? What about if you turn off notifications only from that app and then what happens when you receive other notifications?

Is it strictly a necessity to use this app? I ask, because it seems like a simple enough reminder that the Reminders app on both your iPad and iPhone could do this. Perhaps using the Reminders app for that, but the Midco app for whatever else you need it for?

Midco is my ISP. Now I do use fantastical, I've just been using it for reminders, and toggled that to off, to see what happens. I just don't see how that'd cause the issue.

No idea. Just that I'm wondering if the issue is either the app or the phone. If we know it's one or the other there's no more time chasing after the other one.

Or I could just be completely wrong on all of it. That happens more than I like to think about.

Yeah, I don't think it's the phone, as it's an issue that's going on with my iPad as well.

And there's nothing wrong with being wrong, unless you're me and you're never wrong.
