I was just wondering if it was possible for my Mail.app on my MacBook Pro and my Mail.app on my iPhone 3G (iOS4) to be synchronized such that when an email is read on my computer it will no longer appear as unread on my iPhone and vice versa. The odd thing is that when i used the Thunderbird.app i never had this problem, but i prefer the less bulky mail.app and the only thing keeping me from moving back over is that i have to check my mail twice, basically. Any help is much appreciated!

I don't think this is an iPhone problem but more a question directed to those in the Mac Applications section:

As you said Thunderbird got it right but the Mail app on the Mac isn't. The iPhone is doing it right. Just need to figure out how to get the Mail app on OSX to recognize the mail has been read.
