I live in nyc, and i got to thinking today..................

how nicely will my iphone play with the sometimes harsh winters up here? Supposedly, this winter will be very "wintery"?

I was just thinking that..My iPod goes all multi-coloured when it's in the cold (making it weird watching video) but other than that it's fine.

Wonder if the same thing happens on the iPhone, I guess we'll just have to wait and see! Bring on the blizzard!

put in the freezer while it's playing and wait a few minutes then see what happens.

The cold is the least of your problems.

Try using the phone wearing gloves. Ruh-Roh.

That would be absolutely stupid unless you want a wet, electrically fried iPhone. The condensation will kill it. DO NOT DO THIS.

Winter isn't a sudden change in temperature like room temperature to the freezer is.

Wouldn't putting it in the freezer be similar to taking it from indoor warmth to outside winter conditions?

I think it will be fine...my iPod is always fine in winter, can't see the iPhone being different

Just take those gloves off first

It is where I live....I am in a heated car...park and step out into -20 degree weather....in fact it is probably worse than a freezer :)

I've decided that if I get an iPhone I will just put the sim card back in my old nokia for winter. I can dial it with gloves on....

I'm not sure, but you do have a good point. However, when I put things in the freezer they get condensation on them. When I carry my phone with me from my warm house into the cold outside, condensation isn't an issue..
