It’s like my iPad jumped in the Delorean.

My iPhone and watch are consistently 3 mins ahead of my iPad and MacBook Air and my wife’s iPhone.

When I text my wife and if she responds immediately, her reply ends up in my messages BEFORE the message I sent her since I am always running3 minutes ahead.

I’ve rebooted everything updated software. It happens on WiFi or cellular.

Any ideas why I am constantly 3 minutes in the future?

Are you on a different cell service provider than your wife?
Probably the time information from your provider is simply not precise/different? 🤔

🤔 time is set & synchronized via NTP servers - check your device & hers to make sure all are set up properly.

Are one of you using a VPN? Those can create “weird” issues like this.

We’re both on Verizon. Our phones are perfectly in sync just 3 mins apart same with my MacBook and iPad. No VPN. Can you elaborate NTP? I am assuming my phone and watch are the wrong ones. My other devices match my wife’s.

NTP is Network Time Protocol. But looks like iOS doesn't let you alter the NTP server; just turn the service on & off with Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically

I presume it's using time.apple.com as an NTP server, but not certain about it.

macOS you can literally choose your NTP server on that same settings page. But not iOS.
