Not sure if many of you are on same boat, but I’m planning on ordering the new iPhone XsMax AND the new Apple Watch. Both are preorder at same date and time!?!? Anyone else see this as a problem?

As many of you know, in past, the preorder window is a tough one to get in time. I’ve missed it some years before and had delays on delivery..... And now how to preorder with two new products?

Buy phone first? Watch? Quickly add both and hope it goes through and doesn’t delay?

use the app it's faster. keep them in saved items till 12am launch. and just hurry. all you can do. Depeding on which phone you want it will sell out faster. I dont see 512's selling out that quickly.

Is it possible now to add it to "saved items" ?
edit: ok I think I see it - I was searching for "save" but did not see anything.

Is what you are describing the same as "Add to Favorites" via clicking on the heart?

Hmm. Didn’t know you can save items that are not available yet? Gonna try this....

For the phone. I been preapproved for that. So as soon as the app is brought up. I just click on the link that shows up on the app tonight to order that. You can “favorite” the watch. And it will show up in your favorites for faster checkout. Which I did also. But really I’d order the phone first. Cause it’s unlikely the watches sell out as quickly as the phone does.

Yeah definitely focus on ordering the phone first. The Watch should be easily available

Depends what you want, i think the 64GB and 256GB gold Xs Max will sell out quite fast.

I think they would have, if you were talking $700-$800. But when the minimums are $1000 and $1100, you won't see as much movement The X last year was still available for a good while.

I think gold will go 1st too,but my guess is that shipping times, even for those models, won’t slip for several hours.
I would be a bit surprised if that was the case. I recall for the X i was in right away and had my shipping date slip to 2-3 weeks. This time won't be as intense since there's now 9 models to choose from vs 4, but i still think the vast majority of people are focused on the gold colors and will stick between 64 and 256GB. If gold times slip, i may look at space grey.

There's definitely less demand than last year, and with good reason. I still think they'll sell a ton.

I'm doing this tonight. Watch is already bookmarked as a favorite in the Apple Store app. Phone is already chosen and preapproval has gone through.

The second it's up tonight, the phone order goes first, and separately. When that's completed, I'll click the Favorites, grab the watch, and hopefully still get launch day for that as well

Don't order them together, I've seen people get burned in past years by their order waiting on a case or some other accessory and miss launch day delivery.

If I'm buying it outright and SIM-free, I don't need pre-approval, right?

No - this is only for IUP (iPhone Upgrade Program). The "preapproval" is against Citizen's Bank, where the 24 month loan is financed from.

For you, just pick it at 12:01am and go for it :D

Went in to see how I can prepare for tonight and store is down for updates! Haha.

I’ll be calling T Mobile at 11:56 for the phone. I’ll be going in the Apple Store App at the same time and refreshing to order my watch from there. Last year went fine. Got it launch day even with it going to a UPS Store (not hub).

I'm doing this as well. I'm hoping its a fast checkout do shipping times don't slip. Anyone have an idea if the sim free stock will be significantly lower?

Here is a tip:

Im ordering the phone first through the apple store app, then the watch throgh my verizon app.

I know the watch likely wont be sold out right away but the phone probably will. Best bet for the 3am suffle.

I am in EST time zone. I am going to go to sleep tonight. Wake up, ****, shower, shave, get dressed and then order my phone while eating breakfast. It is just a phone. It will get here when it gets here. I am sure not going to get up at 3am my time to order.

I don’t think there will be too much of an issue getting a phone in a timely manner. I have not heard 1 hunt of a shortage rumor this year.

Get out of here with that rational thinking.
