So there aren't big issues now running iPhone/iPod touch apps on your iPad in compatibility mode, but here's a question: what is going to happen when the iPhone is on OS 4 and the iPad is still on OS 3?

Has Apple said anything about this? Will Apps that require iPhone OS 4 be no longer able to run on the iPad?

Just got me thinking today...

I expect to lose complete support for upcoming iPhone apps for awhile however I think the iPad os 4 will be phenomenal (a ton more features than in iPhone os 4) so I figure the wait will be worth it

Will probably force app developers to keep 2 different code paths, helping the development path along for iPad instead of just cookie cutter iPad support
