Say what you will. But have you considered the developer may have made the app simply to prove to themself that they could do it?

Suppose they are a student working on their skills ahead of embarking on a career in development. Maybe they are someone who began the project to occupy their mind for some respite from a troubling personal matter, such as the loss of a loved one. Or perhaps they are just a person with a joy for Apple watches they wish to share with like-minded folks.

To me, any of those reasons (and many more I can think of) make this app quite useful. Perhaps not in the traditional way an app is deemed "useful," but useful nonetheless.

I download this app a long time ago (when it was announced in the thread in these forums where the Watch band collectors hang out), but I keep avoiding using it because it doesn’t support the iPad. Yes, I know you need an iPhone to use an Apple Watch, but the iPad is capable of displaying larger pictures and more things at once. I mostly only use the iPhone display when I’m away from my Mac and iPad. iPad support in the app would make it so much more useful (to me, at least).

In other news, I don’t personally care much for baseball or football, so all baseball and football teams, and their corresponding leagues should be disbanded.

Or… maybe we could accept that different people, like different things, and that’s just fine.

Love this app, only just found it a few weeks ago, took me a while to sort out which blue sport bands I had but it's great, AND i've found some older bands that haven't been in the wear cycle for a while, gonna rock some woven nylon navy/tahoe blue strap this weekend!

It works on the iPad. Sure, since it is made for iPhone, it won't look as nice as a native iPad app, but in portrait mode on the iPad, it will do in a pinch.

But wouldn't it be nice to have the UI more optimized for iPad, and Mac maybe? And a bulletproof push sync between devices? We can't wait to make our app available across platforms, but first we need some time to create the best conditions for, as mentioned in this rare teaser:

Only just discovered the thread, and the app. Love it! Already scouring the local classifieds online to get rare bands for cheap. 😊 I only used two bands for a long time… 😊

This was how I started, I had just two bands for a long time that I'd occasionally switch out, then I started scouring online because I wanted a few more colours and here I am today with 32 OEM bands. It's an addiction for sure.

I started using Bandbreite a few months ago to better organize my collection and I love it. Super organized and I do love browsing through the bands I don't have yet and adding them to the wishlist (not great for the wallet though).

I agree, that is your issue. Time to start buying OEM!
At one point I had over 100 bands, mostly cheap knock offs. after the second time my ceramic fell off my wrist I came home and threw the 60 something knock offs in the trash.
now I have 57 apple bands and 4 leather non-apple Bands.

Why do think it's useless? Seems to me that this would be extremely useful to a collector, to someone who runs across a prior watch band and wants more information about it, etc.

I’ve actually gotten a lot of my bands cheaply from listings that are either labeled vaguely or labeled incorrectly and this app has helped me tremendously with identifying them. Pretty useful I’d say.

You rock, Filip. You and your awesome team. 🤗🤗🤗

It's thanks to you and your awesome app I went from a handful bands to... a beautiful collection. 😇 You and the community that sparked from MR's historic thread.

Thank you for this awesome, beautifully crafted and so useful app. And for keeping it free, and ad-free. May many, many, many coffees be tipped. You deserve it.
Win-win (well, except for my pockets. 🙈).

This thread is scary. People have serious addictions to watch bands. We need a GoFundMe effort to purchase Band-Aids for these poor souls. ;)
This is like the post I read once about someone with 60+ cases. I had two at a time once; clear and a black and white wild west one

You know what...I initially laughed and went in my head that this is useless.

Then I remembered at the announcement for the new Nike band colors and thinking this was already released. I spent 15 minutes doing a google search trying to find and compare the colors. So yeah...I'm currently downloading this app. LMAO

I'm well aware it runs on the iPad. It doesn't support the iPad. Do you think you're telling me something I don't know? You get a crappy iPhone display in the middle half of the screen. There's an absolute ton of apps out there that are universal, so the same app runs somewhat optimally on both the iPad and iPhone, and the apps that don't end up looking just plain bad on the iPad. And the goal of the app (aside from cataloging) is to see large samples of a color and/or smaller samples of many colors - both of which would be improved noticeably by using the full screen on an iPad.

I love this app! I would love to be able to rate my bands/ rank my bands, since my collection keeps on expanding and I like to rank them from best to worst. Would be an awesome feature!
Greetings from Austria
