OK this might re-enforce the stereotype that there's a lot of gay Apple users but in reality I think it's just a great sign of the popularity of the app store that an app that can only appeal to a subset of the userbase has done so well.
It has to be remembered that Grindr is still only on the iPhone and iPod touch and the app is less than a year old. Versions for other platforms have been promised but still haven't arrived, the BlackBerry version is expected to add at least another 10 members 😉
