iOS Iphone app icon question

I'm developing an application for the iphone and it install and everything is all OK.
However when the app is installed, it has a semi circular highlight laid over the top of the launch app icon - i.e like the pre-installed YouTube, Clock and Weather app icons.

Does anyone know of a way to disable this highlight when the app is installed?
