iPhone aps randomly quitting

A teething problem, I hope, but all applications have started quitting randomly and it's getting more frequent.

Affects iPod, photos, safari, email - all aps regardless of mobile/wifi reception levels.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried rebooting the iPhone by powering it off then back on? (this is a known fix for other issues) Is it hacked or simular? Have you called Apple Tech Support?
